"Well, I'm not discriminating because he's a Muslim. I find all religions equally irrational." -Temperance Brennan, BONES
i'm in agreement with this statement. i've read many books on religion as well as the religious texts (aka bible, etc.) but i must confess, i find the christian bible the most droll. it is extremely difficult to get past a few pages and i do turn to excerpts but i would really love to read this as i do a book. any suggestions from anyone on a THE GOOD BOOK out there? thanks!

Well you can read like 10 pages a day, until you finish.
It will take a long time, but you will find you have read it, eventually.

"See, this is why I can't get behind God. If He doesn't exist, fine. Bad crap happens to good people. That's how it is. No rhyme or reason, just random horrible, evil. I get it. Okay? I can roll with that. But if He is out there, what's wrong with Him? Where the hell is He while all these decent people are getting torn to shreds? How does He live with Himself? You know, why doesn't He help?" |

Skeptics Annotated Bible:

Yeah, the "good book" is extremely dry and boring. The Skeptics Annotated Bible makes it more bearable and has great annotations. Pretty funny, too.
